Lumber is one of the most essential resources in the early game of Pokémon Pokopia. You'll need it for everything from building your first habitats to restoring the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center.
While you might occasionally find small wood piles in the overworld, the most efficient way to get Lumber is through the Chop Specialty and the Cut Move.
Scyther is the first Pokémon you'll encounter that can help you with lumber. To attract one, you need to create its favorite habitat in the Withered Wasteland.

Once Scyther appears, talk to it. It will have an orange speech bubble.
Lumber cannot be gathered directly; you must first gather Small Logs.

This is where the Chop Specialty comes in. Scyther (and later Pokémon like Pinsir) has this ability.
To rebuild the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center, you will need 10 Lumber. This means you only need to process 2 Small Logs with Scyther's help.
| Resource | Source | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Small Logs | Wood Piles / Trees | Use Cut move |
| Lumber | Pokémon with Chop Specialty | Process Small Logs |
| Sturdy Sticks | Ground Spawns | Pick up manually |
Mastering this loop early is the key to mastering Pokopia's building mechanics!
