The Kanto Legendary Birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, are among the most iconic Pokemon ever created, and Pokemon Pokopia gives you a real chance to have all three living on your islands. The catch? Getting them there is a much bigger undertaking than dropping a few grass patches. These are full construction projects that demand serious materials, a skilled crew, and a trip to a late-game area. Here's exactly what you need to do.

All three Kanto birds together
Before any construction begins, you need the blueprints. All three building recipes are located in Palette Town, which sits over the bridge from the Withered Wasteland. You can technically visit Palette Town at any point, but be realistic: the materials required are deep late-game resources, so there is no rush to head there early.
Once you arrive, you will notice that Palette Town is split into three distinct land masses. Each one has a steep hill near its center, and at the top of each hill sits one of the three blueprints. Climb each hill and collect them all. That's the easy part.
infoYou can grab all three blueprints in a single visit to Palette Town. There is no reason to make multiple trips, so clear your inventory space and collect everything at once.
Each of the three buildings has its own material list and its own crew requirements. None of them are quick builds, and the Pokemetal requirement alone will take significant grinding. Here is the full breakdown:
| Building | Materials Required | Pokemon Crew Required |
|---|---|---|
| Freezing Chambers (Articuno) | Stone x50, Ice x50, Crystal Fragment x10, Pokemetal x10 | Build Specialty x1, Water Specialty x1, Search Specialty x1, Crush Specialty x1, Others x11 |
| Abandoned Power Plant (Zapdos) | Copper Ingot x50, Iron Ingot x50, Sea Glass Fragments x50, Brick x50, Pokemetal x10 | Build Specialty x1, Fly Specialty x1, Generate Specialty x1, Crush Specialty x1, Others x11 |
| Altar of Flame (Moltres) | Copper Ingot x50, Gold Ingot x50, Lava Rock x50, Pokemetal x10 | Build Specialty x1, Fly Specialty x1, Burn Specialty x1, Crush Specialty x1, Others x11 |
Each building requires 15 total Pokemon on the construction crew, with four specialty roles filled and eleven general workers rounding out the team. Make sure you have the right specialty Pokemon assigned before starting each project.
warningThese habitats take up a massive footprint on your islands. Before placing them, use Rollout to flatten the terrain and clear enough space. Trying to squeeze them into an unprepared area will cause problems.

Once you have the blueprints and materials ready, the actual placement is flexible. The most practical approach is to stay in Palette Town and build on the land masses there, since each island already has a patch of terrain that can be cleared and expanded with minimal effort. That said, you are not locked into Palette Town. Any location on your islands with enough flat space will work.
The Freezing Chambers are Articuno's home, and they demand a mix of Stone, Ice, Crystal Fragments, and Pokemetal. The crew needs a Water Specialty Pokemon and a Search Specialty Pokemon alongside the standard Build and Crush roles. Stock up on Crystal Fragments before starting, as they can be the trickiest resource to gather in bulk.
The Abandoned Power Plant has the longest material list of the three, requiring Copper Ingots, Iron Ingots, Sea Glass Fragments, Bricks, and Pokemetal. The Generate Specialty crew role is unique to this build, so identify which Pokemon in your roster carries that specialty before you start gathering materials.
The Altar of Flame calls for Copper Ingots, Gold Ingots, Lava Rock, and Pokemetal. The Burn Specialty role is the key crew requirement here. Gold Ingots and Lava Rock both point to volcanic or high-temperature resource areas, so plan your gathering runs accordingly.
dangerAll three buildings require Pokemetal x10 each, meaning you need 30 Pokemetal total if you plan to build all three. Prioritize farming this resource early so it does not become a bottleneck late in the process.
Beyond the satisfaction of having Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres on your islands, there is a concrete reward waiting once you befriend all three. Completing the trio unlocks the recipe for a Tidal Bell, which is a key item needed to befriend Lugia. So if adding the legendary sea guardian to your collection is on your list, the Kanto birds are not optional. They are the prerequisite.
infoThe Tidal Bell recipe is only handed over after all three birds are befriended, not after each individual one. Finish the full set before expecting that reward to appear.
